The
Attorneys (Lawyers) for the defunct Board of Trustees of Celestial Church of Christ Nigeria
Diocese and Emmanuel (Mobiyino) Oshoffa are on different pages
as they differs on the procedure to move the case forward.....!
In

Between The Registered Trustees of Celestial Church of Christ
(Nigeria Diocese) - Plaintiff/Respondent and Rev. Godwin Bolanle
Shonekan - Defendant/Applicant by the Original Action... And
Rev. Godwin Bolanle Shonekan Plaintiff/by Counter-Claim and (1)
The Registered Board of Trustees Celestial Church of Christ
(Nigeria Diocese) Defendant/by Counter-Claim; (2) Emmanuel
Mobiyino Oshoffa Defendant/(Joined by Order of Court on
the 9th Day of May, 2007 to the Counter-Claim).
The
Attorneys (Lawyers) for the defunct Board of Trustees of Celestial Church of Christ Nigeria
Diocese and Emmanuel (Mobiyino) Oshoffa differ on how to move
the case forward when the Lawyer hired personally by Emmanuel
Oshoffa disagreed with the motion filed (Click
here to view the motion as filed)
by the Lawyer hired for Emmanuel by
defunct Board of Trustees, SEGUN EMEHIN & Co.
Emmanuel's personal Lawyer preferred the case to proceed without
delay while the Lawyer hired by the defunct Trustees is filing
for extension of time.
In
making
the matter worsened, two Elders of the Church answered as the
Registered Board of Trustees of Celestial Church of Christ
Nigeria Diocese in the absence of Honorary Senior Evangelist
Samson Olatunde Banjo, the lone survival of the Trustees on the
side of Emmanuel Oshoffa, who no longer attend the Court.
In
the usual pattern of lies and deception by the defunct Board of
Trustees, this two poor Elders must
have been made to believe that they are members of the
Registered Board of Trustees of Celestial Church of
Christ. Now, a protest application had been ordered by the
Honorable Court against the two Elders for Impersonation and
would face charges for such shortly.
The
law office of Counsel for Plaintiff by the Original Action and
Counsel for the first defendant by Counterclaim S. Fabunmi Esq.
who had been ordered by the Court to file his response to the
Counterclaim that has been in front of the Court for over a year
failed to do so, but instead wanted an adjournment as usual, for
him to decide whether he should respond to the Counterclaim or
not. His
Lordship, Honorable Justice Mosumola A. Dipeolu - JUDGE of the
High Court of Justice disagreed with the Counsel for Plaintiff
by the Original Action and Counsel for the first defendant (the
Trustees) by Counterclaim, S. Fabunmi Esq. and informed the
attorney that the Original Action was his case and if he chooses
not to proceed by refusing to respond to the Counterclaim that
is his business and that the Court would not adjourn any longer
for mere delay tactics and that the Court will be going on
recess till October 2007, and by then, if S. Fabunmi Esq. is not
ready for his case, the Court will proceed to hearing for the
Counterclaim.
The
Counsel for the second defendant by Counterclaim, Emmanuel
Mobiyino Oshoffa sounded to be more in agreement with A. A. Olatunji Esq. of Counsel for
the Defendant by the Original Action and Plaintiff by
Counterclaim, Rev. Godwin Bolanle Shonekan for a speedy trial.
We
hope to see more brighter light at the end of the tunnel comes
October 2007 in quest for permanent solution to the Celestial Church
of Christ's crisis of "Succession to the Office of
Pastor". Victory continues by the Grace of God.....
